accessing DXL Layout columns using DXL script

 I have been very successful in witting scripts to perform metrics on many files in our project.   However I have not found a way to access LayoutDXL columns.   If I try to access as I do for attributes, I get syntax error.  I tried accessing both directly as

string LayoutColumnString

LayoutColumnString= obJ."Layout Column Name"

and putting in a filter such as

f =contains(attribute "Layout Column Name", "TBD", true)

 I assumed this subject would be covered in this forum but could not find the right keywords to pull it up.

Thank you

You'll have to access the view column and extract the text using :

string text(Column c, Object o)

See the Display Control -> Columns section in the DXL reference manual.
